Facebook acquires Fitness Tracking App - Moves

Facebook acquires ProtoGeo Oy, the company which makes Fitness app (Moves). This Fitness app will be available for Android and iOS users. This will be a stand-alone application and will be useful for the people who wanted to tract their daily fitness activity.

Moves is free app and it records daily walking, cycling and running. It recognizes places in your daily life, it also routes on map.

Facebook has not yet disclosed acquisition cost.

Samsung announced Samsung Galaxy Beam 2 Projector phone to be launched in China. It’s a successor phone to the Samsung Galaxy Beam.

iOS 7.1.1 update is available for iPod, iPad and iPhone via iTunes or OTA on iOS 7.

LG G Watch – Water Resistant with always-on display

LG G Watch is coming up with Android Wear (Google’s new OS). It is available in stealth black and champagne gold version (colour). It is water resistant as well as dust resistant.

The display is always on which means that you doesn’t have to wake it up each time you want to check the time. But always on feature will definitely hamper the battery back-up.

It has 1.65-inch IPS LCD display (280x280 pixels resolution), 512 MB RAM and 4 GB Storage Memory. GPS will be add-on feature.

It is expected to hit the market by July 2014.
